Multiscale Accessibility—A New Perspective of Space Structuration

Spatial accessibility is fundamentally related to the functional, economic and social performances of cities geographical systems and, therefore, constitutes an essential aspect for spatial planning. Despite significant progress made in research, little attention given central role space organization structuration. This study aimed fill this gap. Based on intensive literature review, our work shows critical at different scales sizes, starting from basic concept its foundations classical locational theories further methods forefront research. These processes also point a unique contribution multiscale Accordingly, we offer conceptual framework describe process structuration with respect local-urban, regional national scales. We believe may help studying more importantly, understanding space. hope perspective forms additional tier methodological levels concerning will encourage empirical studies light suggested view.
